When properly applied, Semco Teak Sealer provides a natural finish that makes it appear as though nothing is on the teak—yet it offers powerful protection. Unlike untreated teak, which turns grey and weathers over time, this sealer helps maintain the wood's warm, natural tones and prevents the growth of mildew, mould, and other moisture-related damage.

Before applying Semco Teak Sealer , it is important to ensure the teak is completely dry and clean for best results. For application, always use a lint-free cloth or foam brush to maintain control and prevent flicking or splashing onto unwanted areas. These tools allow for even coverage and minimize waste. When using this teak sealer for the first time, we recommend applying two coats. The first coat will absorb deep into the grain, effectively sealing the wood from within and virtually disappearing. The second coat builds up the desired level of colour and finish, giving the teak a rich yet natural appearance.

For future maintenance, seasonal recoating is typically sufficient. Depending on the exposure to sun and saltwater, you can apply either one or two coats to refresh the appearance and protection of your teak. Regular maintenance ensures your teak surfaces will remain beautiful, durable, and weather-resistant for many years.
